Running with the Irish is the theme for this year's St. Patrick's Day celebration, and they're not kidding: The annual event begins with a fun run. This is the 23rd year the Irish community has pulled together for a day of all-things Irish, which begins and ends with a festival—the parade is the chewy nougat center—complete with music, eats and, of course, beer. The parade—always a favorite for its home-done floats—will head north on Stone Avenue, west on Broadway, take a short northern scoot on Church Avenue, turn east on Congress Street then head south on Sixth Avenue.

The Community Food Bank will host Hunger Walk 2010 on March 13. The fundraising event will start and finish at Sam Lena Park, 2805 E. Ajo Way.
There are three options for participants: a 3˝ mile walk, a one-mile walk or a “sleep in,” for those who just want to contribute.
Registration begins at 7 a.m. and the walks start at 8 a.m. Cost is $10 per person with each participant receiving a t-shirt and water bottle. For those choosing the sleep-in option, the cost is $20 with participants receiving a surprise gift.

We're riding and (wo)manning a cookie stand at this year's Tour De Cookie!
Participants will race/ride between 10 cookie-stands (hosted by local clubs and organizations) and purchase/eat as many pastries as possible. Every dollar spent will be donated to the Tucson Kids' Try-athlon, a free triathlon designed for children with special needs and/or disabilities.
TRD's stand will be Downtown - and run by the Derby Dance Crew!
